Hello (again)

I became enamoured with collage illustration at Norwich School of Art and Design; my unknown ticket collection and memorabilia continue to appear in my illustrations.

When I’m not illustrating, I play tennis at the coast and spend much time getting lost amongst trees in the Lake District.

I write Weather or Whether on Substack, sharing stuff about making collage illustrations, getting stuff done, and working as an illustrator with dyslexia. Also, sometimes picture prompts for creative writing and inspiration for image-making. Reed it here.

Rewind

After discovering I had dyslexia at Art School, I went on to learn more about it (studying MSc Psychology and Level 5 Certificate in Dyslexia). Over the last 10 years, I have helped many students discover their strengths and the joy of reading and learning creatively—more on my visual literacy ideas here.

This year, I’ve delved back into the world of illustration and have undertaken two courses with The Good Ship Illustration: Business Illustration Course and Find Your Creative Voice: Fly Your Freak Flag.

Follow my projects on Substack.

 FAQs

  • The words 'reed' and 'read' are homophones. They sound alike when spoken aloud and have different meanings.

Misspelling them is a homage to my dyslexia and quirks.
