Hello
I’m a collage illustrator and image-maker.
I take images apart and put them back together.

I’m a Digital Collage Illustrator and image-maker. I take images apart and put them back together—and I bring that same curated approach to how I piece together information for my Substack, Resources for Illustrators.
-
It’s your essential curated newsletter for creatives. I’m the chief information scavenger! I banish the search hassle by signposting you directly to the good stuff so you can focus on your work and creativity.

A commitment to play and location-based observation. Through The Good Ship Illustration, I’ve uncovered my quirk for collecting ephemera—from raffle stubs and National Trust parking tickets to pitch-and-putt scorecards from Keswick.
They also got me into the habit of sketching on location. I always have a DIY sketchbook and my Derwent pocket wrap to hand, filled with Tinted Charcoal, Cretacolor Sanguine (dry and oil), and Blackwing pencils.
I’m currently a passenger on their course, Find Your Creative Voice (Fly Your Freak Flag).

By being endlessly curious. I’m constantly investing in my practice and learning from brilliant people and organisations—including The Good Ship Illustration Business Club, Helix Arts and Tania Willis (1:1 Mentoring), and AI courses from Grow with Google.
-
I studied Graphic Design, specialising in Illustration at Norwich School of Art and Design (now NUA).

When I'm not in Adobe Photoshop or scavenging for resources, you can find me:
Curating my latest haul of tickets and interesting papers
Playing tennis down on the North East coast
Watching Newcastle United win (and... lose)
Adding to my collection of grasses and ferns
Volunteering as a gardener for the National Trust
